Variety Trials

Soybean variety tests are conducted at various locations around the state of Oklahoma. Entries are accepted from public universities and private companies to provide producers with unbiased information on the latest soybean cultivars that are available.

Individual variety plots are four rows wide (30” rows) and 20 feet long.
The seeding rate is eight seeds per foot of row (~140,000 seeds per acre) and all seed is inoculated with Bradyrhizobium japonicum bacteria.
